Most patients spend between 1 and 5 days in the hospital. A typical average for laparoscopic and robotic procedures is 1-3 days, which is slightly longer (3-5 days) for open procedures.
This is typically scheduled 4-6 weeks after your procedure. You should call the rooms soon after being discharged from the hospital to arrange this appointment if this has not already been arranged.

At the time of your consultation, you will be advised of the next available date for admission to your preferred private hospital. General surgery can generally be scheduled for the week following your consultation. Bariatric surgery can generally be scheduled within 3 weeks of your initial consultation.
