Your consultation
Your initial consultation is your opportunity to meet Dr Silverman and for her to gain a thorough understanding of your existing situation.
Dr Silverman will assess your condition and healthcare options, and will devise the most suitable treatment program to provide the best possible outcomes for your bariatric or general surgery.
Regardless of how much you've researched, there's likely to be a lot of new and potentially complex information which may make the process seem overwhelming.
We recommend that you make notes during your appointment, so you can digest the information in your own time and fully understand your treatment plan and what to expect.
Spend some time before your consultation to consider everything you'd like to ask Dr Silverman. We encourage you to bring a list of questions with you, so you don't forget anything once you arrive.
Dr Silverman is a caring surgeon who delivers healthcare with compassion and professionalism. She will put you at ease pre, during and post-treatment, but if you're more comfortable to bring a loved one with you to your appointment, please feel free to do so.
At your appointment
Dr Silverman runs a tight schedule across multiple locations on the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales.
Please aim to arrive at your appointment at least ten minutes ahead of schedule to allow for any delays.
You may have paperwork to fill in before you meet Dr Silverman so please come well prepared.
Dr Silverman may undertake a physical examination which won't require any preparation on your part.
Cancelling your appointment
In the unlikely event you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please give as much notice as possible to allow Dr Silverman to re-schedule and accommodate other patients.
We understand that things come up, but without adequate notice, you may be liable to pay the full cost of your appointment.
